Before you create a detailed wireframe for any project, ask yourself: how will this help my design process? Evaluate your answer carefully before you decide whether or not to craft a wireframe.
I have many things to learn when it comes to delivering a website to a client. One critical piece that I have yet to define is figuring out a design process that I'm satisfied with. A lot of that comes from inexperience which, if I had more of, would help me wisely think through certain decisions that need to be made. Second to experience is learning from other peoples experiences and this article by Andy Rutledge from Unit Interactive is full of valuable learned lessons on wire framing and evaluating their purpose.
